Behar Slams Palin: ‘Shouldn’t She Be Turning Letters On Some Game Show?’

“The View” host Joy Behar sunk to a new low during a recent appearance on MSNBC’s “Last Word,” where she said former Alaska governor Sarah Palin has no place in the political discussion and should be working on a “game show” somewhere, insinuating that the ex-pageant participant should just capitalize on her looks rather than do something of immense substance.

Speaking to Lawrence O’Donnell about Palin’s thoughts on who Mitt Romney should pick as a running mate and South Carolina governor Nikki Haley, Behar said of Palin, “Shouldn’t she be turning letters somewhere on some game show at this point? Why is she still involved in the conversation politically?”

Good to see Behar, who regularly supports the feminist movement, step into Bill Maher territory and make an unbelievably sexist comment about one of the most abused female political figures in recent history.

This is totally unfair to Vanna White.  Palin couldn’t possible do as well as Vanna.

I agree with Behar, if Palin had gone down the political road, and advanced herself with some education, maybe she would qualify…but we all know she did not…She was in for the money, as she couldn’t keep her committment to her state. So, most people believe she is in it for entertainment not to help the country…Only her bank account….

I do not like Palin, however, Behar is a loud obnoxious overpaid full of Venom _____, and I do not find her Funny at all. Steve, her Husband, must drink his ass into a Coma twice a week to live with such vile.

TRUE THAT! Behar has no CLASS!!

Sarah Palin has much more business commenting on politics than the ex stand up comic Bee Jar.  Not only is Joy (who ever named her that is so far off the mark it’s pathetic) and together with O’Donnell, the talk descends into gutterdom and lame commentary passing for humor. How do either of them add to political commentary in their trash talk snipes. The answer is, they don’t.  They never have and they never will. While Joy is screeching, O’Donell goes on shows and basically loses it, screaming at the top of his small little lungs. Ugh. No side should claim these shills. Last word, Joy has long taken pot shots at Sarah Palin and my thought is that she is so darn jealous because even in Joy’s prime, her PRIME, she was never as good looking as Sarah.  Jelousy is an ugly sentiment, Joy.  Put it away, lose the backstabbing remarks you call enlightenment and maybe, just maybe, someone might take you seriously one day.  Not me. But maybe someone.

I don’t think that Behar’s comment was sexist, she has always done that type of humor. I thought what she said was pretty funny and true, what political expertise does Sarah Palin bring to the table? She is riding her looks for as long as she can, she has done nothing to advance herself intellectually. Even now, more than 3 years since she showed up on the national stage, Palin still cannot speak in a clear, intelligent, to the point manner. She always has sounded to me like a student who didn’t study the book or her notes for the test and is trying to wing it.  Just like in school, when you didn’t fool the teacher, she can’t fool me.

Why is it when a woman says she doesn’t like Sarah Palin, her supporters say that it is envy (which is what the emotion would be, it involves wanting something that someone else has, i.e. beauty, their car, house, lifestyle, jealousy involves another person and a relationship). I am a woman (and I’m told that I am attractive) and my problem with Mrs. Palin has nothing whatsoever to do with her appearance. It has to do with her intellect (or lack of), her lack of knowledge and curiosity about the world, her capability to do a good thorough job at whatever the task might be. I have the same issue with Mitt Romney, who I think is a handsome man, but an empty suit.  Joy Behar is a comedian (whether you find her funny or not), that is completely different than someone who thinks they have the capacity to analyze politics in a news setting or hold public office.

If Palin were offered the title and crown of Lame$tream Queen you know she’d jump on it without even blinking. Can you imagine anyone politically serious calling TMZ to give a “statement” like she did last week? Palin is nothing without the lamestream she desperately keeps trying to remain in the middle of.

because the mud they throw at her is not about substance but its about her political beliefs.  However those attacking her are too gutless to say it.  We conservatives are use to the left attacking the intellect of leaders of our party since the mid 70′s.  The left did the same thing in the 80′s most notably with Ronald Reagan.  The lefts attack against conservatives are either rich/out of touch or that they are stupid.  Just be honest and say its a political difference.

“because the mud they throw at her is not about substance but its about her political beliefs.” Don’t think anyone is arguing it isn’t political difference…but people feel at the base of her political beliefs are a precursor set of unfounded, unsupported, unconstitutional beliefs.
