Kate Middleton Wears Frayed Missoni Coat, Daily Mail Wonders If It’s Because She’s Lazy

If you’re Kate Middleton, you probably shouldn’t shop at Abercrombie & Fitch, as purchasing intentionally ripped clothing might tell The Daily Mail that you’ve stopped caring about your appearance and may need to be talked off the ledge soon.
The Daily Mail investigates why the Duchess of Cambridge stepped out in a frayed M Missoni coat, which appears to have loose strings and ends in the back, during a Thursday appearance at department store Fortnum & Mason. Was Kate the victim of a fashion faux pas like the rest of us commoners, asked The Daily Mail, or was the article of clothing supposed to look broken?
Worry not, fashion police. A representative for the designer said that Middleton’s “wool knit-weave was made to look distressed and worn-out.” Well thank God for that! We were worried sick that she was slumming it in clothes that wear out eventually. Pull it together, Kate, and don’t buy things that will make the fashion world concerned you’re making bad decisions.
