To be fair, she was not on CNN. She was on a Comedy Central Roast where absolutely everything is out-of-line and over-the-top. It’s pretty much the goal to be as offensive as possible.

I don’t think hiding under comedy makes a difference here.

Agreed and though I like Sagal, she isn’t the voice I listen to when voting for a candidate.

Yeah exactly. Bill Mauer calling Palin the “c” word during standup doesn’t  excuse his misogyny. 

Apparently, being in and around Hollywood and all the people who make a living pretending to be somebody we like, causes the majority of actors to despise their audience

EXACTLY. It was a roast. The rules are roasts are different. The entire point is the say the most provocative thing possible and this doesn’t even come close to being offensive or shocking. Really tame by roast standards. Context … it matters.

I agree with Laura.

It’s not very nice to make a joke about how a rich woman doesn’t work as hard as a poor one.It’s kinda sexist,actually.Me thinks Ann deserves a lot more respect than that,and comments or lighthearted jokes should be off limit.

I remember how Moochelle”angry black lady” “uppity” Obama,and her”daddy,did you plug the hole yet?” kids,were completely off limit,and still are…what?…oh…wait.
