Katie Holmes Lands Herself Another Job

Katie Holmes does not give herself much downtime. In addition to being a single mom (…sort of), a working actress, a fashion designer and a celebrity spokesperson for Bobbi Brown she is now the co-owner and celebrity spokesperson for Alterna Haircare. After her Broadway play did end early , she had to come up with something else to do.

According to a release, the plan is for Holmes to help the little-known brand grow worldwide — particularly in salons and retail stores. She’ll also appear in ads in March 2013 women’s beauty, lifestyle and salon trade magazines. In a joint statement with her new company, she says, “I love that Alterna uses natural and organic ingredients and stays away from harsh chemicals like sulfates and parabens. It’s good for my hair and good for the earth, so I feel good using it.”

This is apparently the next big trend for the powerful female celebrity, and Katie may be paid as much as $3 million for this deal. In addition to being a spokesperson for the company you also have to have stock in the company. According to Us Weekly, Jennifer Aniston is an investor and spokesperson for haircare company Living Proof. It’s kind of cool that the next generation of spokesmodels are getting to cash in on the products their images help sell. We say smart move, Ms. Holmes.
