Further Proof That Katy Perry Rocks: The ‘Firework’ Singer Will Visit Terminally Ill Cancer Victim

I’m in love with ultimate “California Gurl” Katy Perry. It’s hard not to adore the magical brunette, who overcame many obstacles on her path the fame and fortune, stands up for equal rights, and spreads California love and giddiness all over the world. She also has a heart of gold, as the Golden State icon has agreed to visit a terminally ill 20-year-old and take him to the MTV Video Music Awards come September.
Tony Harrison, who has been sick since age 16, recently underwent a failed bone marrow transplant and learned that he doesn’t have much time left. The young man took to YouTube this month to explain his unfortunate situation and that it would mean the world to him to have some face time with Perry:
“[Perry], you’re on my bucket list. I would love to meet you for just an hour of your time. It would mean a whole lot to me. You have great music. You’re a great person overall. Everyone wants to meet their celebrity idol, and you’re mine. It would be great to see you.”
Perry listened to his wishes and is going to see him. The 27-year-old, who will be flying Harrison out to Tinseltown for the show, has also offered to participate in a Skype session with the young guy in the event that he does not feel up to the trip in two months. Ijustloveher.
