Olbermann: ‘Stepford Blond’ Kirsten Powers Is ‘On Fox, She’s Going To Hell’

If you’ve ever appeared on Fox News, you may as well become a Satanic worshipper because you’re destined for Hades, according to former TV show host Keith Olbermann, who said Wednesday night that political commentator Kirsten Powers is a “Stepford blond or brunette” and going to hell for contributing to the network.

The mess started when a Twitter user tweeted at Olbermann, who has a history of making misogynistic remarks, “@KeithOlbermann claiming he doesn’t know who @kirstenpowers10 is. What a moron.” That prompted the former Current host to respond with the wildly sexist comment, “Is she a Stepford blond or a Stepford brunette?” You’d think a grown man would know better than to reduce a woman to her hair color, but that’s not Olbermann’s way.

Ever the tough gal, the Daily Beast columnist fired back with this:

Thankfully, Mediaite writer Tommy Christopher weighed in on the spat as well, rightfully siding with Powers, “@kirstenpowers10 But you’re right about @keitholbermann, classless misogyny.”

Olbermann continued with the nastiness, tweeting, “It really doesn’t matter. She’s on Fox. She’s going to hell RT @janliel RT But you still don’t know who @kirstenpowers10 is, right??”

Thanks, Father Olbermann. Glad you can shed light on who is worthy of heaven and who is doomed for hell.

    Could this be an alcohol-related incident? Perhaps twitter, in the name of being a responsible corporate citizen, should institute a DT (Designated Tweeter) program.
    Or is this a only-dumb-people-don’t-like-my-humor naked-comedian(wannabe) situation?

    His insult repertoire is pretty obvious if you follow him for a little while.

    If you have a picture, he will mock it.

    If you don’t have a picture, he will mock you for not having one, and “being so ashamed of yourself that you are anonymous on Twitter.”

    And, his most common: he’ll just call you stupid and then block you.

    Kristen, that is not a misogynistic remark, which proves Keith’s point, if you only had a brain….Stepford wives didn’t have the ability to speak for themselves they were “parrots” – as a woman, I find Olbermann’s remark and your response proof he is correct. (Which is it blonde or brunette?)
