WSJ Star Biz Reporter Kelly Evans May Be Moving To CNBC
5:41 pm, January 30th | by Amy Tennery
Looks like CNBC is making a valuable hire, a reliable source tells The Jane Dough. Kelly Evans, a star reporter at the Wall Street Journal (and media darling, dubbed by some “The Next Money Honey”) is moving to CNBC, according to an industry insider.
It’s unclear what role Evans will take on at CNBC — although her gig hosting News Hub at WSJ has certainly afforded her plenty of on-camera experience. Also a mystery is when the move might take place. But our source tells us that while the ink might not be dry, the deal is on.
When contacted by The Jane Dough, Evans declined to comment on the possible move.
A CNBC spokesperson did not comment on Evans’ future employment at the network and, seemingly avoiding the question, would only confirm that she is not a current employee there.
