Lady Gaga Cancels Tour For Hip Surgery
11:30 am, February 14th | by Meredith Lepore
Lady Gaga has been forced to cancel the remainder of her Born This Way Ball Tour after Doctors discovered that she suffered a labral tear in her right hip. Way to be 82, Lady Gaga! Just kidding. All that dancing and gyrating was bound to take a toll on her 26 year old hips (not to mention those very heavy head pieces.) But it is always upsetting when a singer has to cancel a tour. It is extremely disappointing to fans and a huuuuge loss of money. The worldwide Born This Way Ball tour grossed over $161 million last year, making it the fifth-highest grossing tour of 2012.
On Tuesday via Twitter she announced that she’d injured herself during a recent concert. “I hid it from my staff, I didn’t want to disappoint my amazing fans. However after last nights performance I could not walk and still can’t,” the Grammy winner explained. This is a good lesson in knowing that you may cause damage forever if you don’t know when it’s time to rest!
We do love Gaga’s dance moves but she can put on a pretty good show just sitting at a piano as well. Hopefully she’s able to get back to work soon.
