Lindsay Lohan Reaches New Career Low With Court Sentence And Glitterbombing

It was quite a day for Lindsay Lohan. And the fact that she accepted a plea deal and will be going back to rehab is actually not interesting. She has done that before. She has also been late for court many times and has often shown up in shorts or in jeans with holes in them so the fact that she wore a (somewhat) conservative dress is actually major progress.
What was really interesting was that she got gold glitterbombed on her way to work. I feel like that isn’t even mean because it is surprising that Lohan wouldn’t wear that much glitter to court on her own. Like the flour-bomb Kim Kardashian got was actually rough and made her really dirty but a glitter bomb? I think people pay for that at certain night clubs.
From Today.com:
“In front of Judge James Dabney, Lohan accepted a plea agreement that mandates that she spend 90 days in a “locked rehab facility” — which means she cannot leave before the end of the 90-day period, even with “permission slips” or “day passes.” She also must complete 30 days of community labor, which can be served in New York.
Lohan was also ordered to undergo 18 months of psychological counseling (which the judge confirmed Lohan had already begun) and there are fines and restitution involved as well.
Lohan lied to police when she said she she wasn’t behind the wheel of her Porsche when it crashed into the back of a truck on June 8, 2012, in Santa Monica, Calif. As a result of that wreck and her actions immediately following, she was charged with obstructing an officer, lying to an officer, and reckless driving.”
In all serious though, that comeback that was supposed to relaunch Lindsay’s career clearly never happened. Despite the ratings success (though no critical success) of Liz & Dick and hosting Saturday Night Live, Lindsay still continues on her downward spiral. There were problems on the set of Liz & Dick last spring and then by end of this summer she was back to car accidents, public brawls and stealing. Her publicist also quit and gave up.
It does seem like Lindsay will never have that polished image she wants or be able to stay out of trouble but at the same time she may be able to get away with less because she is a woman in Hollywood. Actress Mila Kunis spoke of this double standard with Interview Magazine recently:
“I think there will always be a double standard between males and females, so I think that an actress is more likely to protect her public persona, so to speak, than an actor would be. An actor goes crazy in a hotel room, gets trashed, throws a bench, breaks a window, and he is considered a rock star. An actress does that and she’s sent to rehab and is thought to have problems and issues and can’t get a job.”
And on top of all that, she got glitterbombed.
