Anti-Bullying Advocate Takes Home Miss USA Crown

Bullying is a problem for everyone — even the newly crowned Miss Teen USA, Logan West, who was taunted so badly that she started an anti-harassment program at age 14.
“I was bullied and I wasn’t educated enough to know what to do to stop it from happening,” she said in 2010.
“I go to schools in Southington and tell the students five steps to stop bullying. I did a lot of research online and talked to people who have studied this. Some of things I found, I made sure that they would work for me.”
One thing is certain: it’s really hard to prevent bullying, but happiness is the best revenge. West, who is the first Connecticut girl to assume the title of Miss Teen USA and heading to Pace University this fall, certainly had the last laugh here.
