Gloria Steinem Is Very Happy That SJP Is Playing Her In The Linda Lovelace Movie

We can all rest easy now: Gloria Steinem is totally psyched about the fact that Sarah Jessica Parker is going to play her in a movie. A movie about porn.

Backstory: Demi Moore was initially supposed to have the role, but after she was hopitalized, Parker took the part. Don’t worry: Parker will not be doing any porn! She’ll play Steinem in Lovelace, the story of porn star Linda Marciano a.k.a. Linda Lovelace. Steinem wrote a famous piece for Ms. Magazine on the star, which we imagine will be worked into the film.

Anyway.

Steinem ensures us she is very happy about it!

Here’s what she told The Daily News:

“I’m grateful that she wants to do it so much, because of the subject matter — because she understands how important sex trafficking and forced prostitution is. And Linda Marciano’s story can happen to anyone. And that’s my role, I believe, in the movie to say that. So I’m very honored that she wanted to do it.”
