Margaret Brennan Going To CBS News? [UPDATE]

Financial news anchor and reporter Margaret Brennan signed off from Bloomberg TV today with no hints of where she’s headed next. But while the industry powerhouse cryptically tweeted this week that she has “exciting things ahead” in her career, The Jane Dough has it on good authority that her next move is to CBS News.

Brennan, who has made her passion for global news no secret, has been with Bloomberg TV since 2009, where she hosted her own show, “InBusiness with Margaret Brennan.” But she’s now headed to a new project over at CBS News, according to the latest industry gossip. And an insider in the know tells us that with her longtime mentor David Rhodes now at the network, the deal is even sweeter. No word yet on what her role there will be or when a formal announcement will take place.

Neither Brennan nor a rep from CBS News was immediately reachable for comment. We’re awaiting comment from Brennan’s agent now.
