Mark Cuban: NBA Players Could Accept A Female (Or Canine?) Coach

Mav’s owner Mark Cuban spoke with celeb-rag TMZ recently to talk about future diversity in the NBA — specifically, the chances of there ever being a female coach in the league. And he sounded optimistic that it could happen! Kind of!
After an odd moment, during which interviewer and
Satan’s right hand man TMZ founder Harvey Levin reflected his weird, pseudo-prejudice against female pilots (around the 7-minute mark in the video below), Cuban faced a crucial question: “Will a male team be accepting of a woman” coach? His response was, well, not really as encouraging as I’d hoped:
“We all have our ingrained prejudices whether we want to accept them or not… the guys are going to be looking at any weaknesses… when a woman comes in they’re going to be under intense scrutiny — it won’t be easy; I think the players will question her. But the reality is, guys want to win. And if they believe this coach — male, female or dog — puts them in the best decision to win, they’re going to go to war with her.”
Male, female… or dog. I mean, hell, if guys will accept a female coach, who wouldn’t they work for, amiright?
