What You’ve Been Waiting For All Your Life: Meryl Streep Participates In Nicer Version Of ‘Screw, Marry, Kill’

Meryl Streep partakes in a round of “Shag, Marry, Kill” so you don’t have to.

You may disagree, but no one really wants to participate in the aforementioned game, as it’s designed to offend. But Oscar-winning actress Streep, who never takes the easy route, was up to the challenge on an episode of Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live,” where she was given a list of three former cast mates (Jack Nicholson, Dustin Hoffman, and Robert Redford) and had to choose which one she’d sleep with, tie the knot with, and kill.

She answered the questions with eloquence and did not use her option of pleading the fifth. What a champ. With reluctance, she said she would marry Redford. Though seemingly hesitant to say she’d let Hoffman perish, she said without a hint of hesitation that Nicholson would be the one she’d most like to “shag.” That makes two of us!

The best part of the interview comes at the end, when she states she was never surprised about not getting an Academy Award during the seventeen times she has been nominated:

“You’re really surprised when you get it,” the two-time winner said.

As for us, we’re really surprised whenever she doesn’t take home the shiny prize.
