New Startup Will Cause Underwear To Appear On Your Doorstep Every Month

We’re fans of startups like Birchbox, which, for $10 a month, will send you a package of a bunch of makeup samples. It’s always fun to try new makeup, of course — and the business model has been a big success, spurring a whole slew of similar businesses. But we’re not so sure about the latest one, which sends you…a pair of underwear every month.

For $16 a month (or more if you want a premium brand), you’ll get a pair of “Meundies” shipped to your doorstep twelve times a year. Don’t know about you, but it’s hard to imagine getting really excited about a pair of underwear coming in the mail. Sure, it might be helpful in those moments where you’re like oh crap, I don’t have any more clean underwear, except the Meundies only come once a month so the chance of that day when you really need underwear and that day that the underwear happens to arrive just seems kind of small.

While they’re focusing on undergarments like undies and socks for now, they’re hoping to expand to other articles of clothing in the future. In the event you do think this sounds like a good program — TechCrunch has a promo code.
