Michelle Obama Promotes Veteran Jobs Initiative On Colbert [VIDEO]

The first time she was on The Colbert Report, First Lady Michelle Obama was the wife of the candidate — this time, she’s “working in the White House,” as Colbert joked. This, of course, is the result of a phenomenon (as Colbert reminds us) known as the “Colbert Bump.” It’s a wonder things didn’t work out better for Huckabee.
All jokes aside, the First Lady appeared on the Colbert Report last night as part of a military-themed episode, during which time she promoted her initiative “Joining Forces.” The nationwide initiative, which Obama started with Jill Biden, aims to support military families and help returning veterans find jobs.
“These are some of the most highly trained, highly skilled, disciplined people we have in our society,” Obama said of returning vets. Watch more below.
