Which Heiress Sent “Minions” To Find Her A $1.6 Million Bathtub In The Amazon?

She’s a new Los Angeles transport with racing in her veins. In LA, her sister has already bought an $85 million house, so we’re guessing this is a case of some sibling rivalry. Who is it?

Formula 1 heiress Tamara Ecclestone, of course. Tamara is the older sister of Petra, who’s made headlines in the past few months for buying Candy Spelling’s mansion and having a multi-million dollar wedding. From the looks of it, Tamara may be even more outrageous. In an interview with The Daily Mail, Tamara confirms that she did indeed send a crew to the Amazon to find crystal that she’ll use to have someone build her…a bathtub.

“No, it’s completely true. They’ve gone to find this crystal which will be turned into my bathtub. It’s costing £1 million [~$1.6 million] because I’ve got to reinforce the floor and I’ve had to pay for everyone’s travel and the hauling back and polishing of the crystal.

But I spend a lot of time in the bath so it’s worth it.”

Some would argue that Tamara’s trying to outdo her younger sister — and as far as Tamara’s boyfriend is concerned, that’s exactly the plan. “The house we are looking at will make Petra’s house look like a guest house,” he said of their house search in LA. Damn.

Tamara’s also at work on a reality show (shocker) that will detail her extravagant life, while apparently also portraying her as “down to earth.” Because we’ve never heard that one before. But Tamara contends that’s really the case. “I had to work for my pocket money, walking the dog and picking up his poop. We were never surrounded by servants,” she said.
