Don’t Worry, Mitt Romney Isn’t Going To Say “Y’all” Anymore
2:50 pm, March 23rd | by Laura Donovan
If you’re a southerner who scratched your head or took offense when former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney said “y’all” two weeks ago you can set down your pitchforks and flaming torches, because the presidential candidate isn’t throwing around terms from your neck of the woods anymore.
POLITICO’s Tom Flak was lucky enough to be in Louisiana when Romney let “y’all” slip during a speech on Dodd-Frank:
“You don’t think it affects y’all..You. All. I mean you all…I don’t want to pretend like I’m from Louisiana.”
God forbid! We wouldn’t want any more people to argue “trying too hard” entails uttering a single word.
