Tennery would probably codenm Caddyshack as not being able to afford college is no laughing matter and called PETA about Monty Python’s Dead Parrot sketch. It’s great teevee, well done to the production staff who put it together. And as Joe often says

How about a parody in which Joe Scarborough and Friends are preparing the original description of the show, in which they describe him as a conservative and the rest as serious journalists.  And then they all giggle as Joe says, “Hey guys.  Watch this.  I’m going to submit this.  See if anyone notices.

authoer misses the bullet on this one and though i do read biz insider, they are wrong too.  look, no programming is perfect.. i can’t stand joe’s hard azz right wing screaming or what a bimbo mika really is.. she’s the token pretty blonde sidekick that never has anything intelligent to say. .  but for those of us who watch regularly (it’s on 3am-6am here so we tune in as we head to bed), we are used to this gang and the promo was funny..  all the side cast of characters were in it too (didn’t watch ur vid but saw it on tv).. we Mike, we even saw Donny Deustch (sp) in the elevator..  and the guy sitting next to joe’s bed is the guy who does the soccer reports from around the world..

One, you can not recognize advertising talent.  Two, you do not get tongue in cheek, sarcastic, parody driven, inside joking, laughing at ourselves, humor.  Three, you must be a whiny bitch, whose friends wish would just shut the f*ck up already!  Jesus man, you have women/mommy issues? That was one of the slickest promotional ads I have seen in a long time.  It was bloody hilarious!  Dude, close the laptop, go outside into the actual outside world, go to a pub, buy a woman a drink, and basically take out the goddam tampon, and be a f’ing man.  Christ, I hate guys that are whiny bitches.  You give a flimsy, soft handshake too I bet.

Holy S.  My dumb a** now notices a woman wrote this (I had stopped reading at the Business Insider quote).  Well, Amy, you also can not recognize a well written, produced, and acted by the way, advert.  And your sense of humor stretches only as far as your opinions, you whine and annoy about from the soapbox you stand on every day, that everyone wishes you would just get the f*ck off of, ’cause their sick of hearing it.  The ad was a pisser.  It was laughing at themselves, and having a fun time doing it.  The only people who see a hidden, or to them overt, message in something like this, are the ones who see messages in everything, because they themselves walk around blabbing about their own messages to anyone who will reluctantly listen.

the spot was perfect……  Mika is a total snob and the piece was probably a glimpse into her life …. she spends most of her time telling others how to live and to get skinny and to not have fun…..   the segment is spot on she is the reason the ratings on morning joe suck

My chosen profession is not a “professional blogger and commentator”.  Basically, they’ve created a soapbox as a profession.  I drove by this after laughing so hard at a great ad, to read the above drivel, and had an impulsive STFU moment.  How is that a whine?  I laughed at a comedic ad.  This one sees insults, and challenges to her talking points.

I enjoyed the spot. In fact, I caught it halfway through and rewound my DVR to watch it in full. I don’t get what the whole problem with it is.

This is just an ad for a show no one watches.

Amy may not have hit the center of the dart board, but she’s hit pretty close for sure. The subtle assumption in the promo ad seems to be that it’s the guy that gets to lead an eventful life while the lady is “plain Jane”. Somehow everything the male host does, though inappropriate or questionable, is fun, eventful & comedic. And everything the lady does (though competent & sincere), is plain, boring and patronizing, right? It’s an apparent stereotype.

Makes the man look like a broader-minded individual who ”knows the world” and the lady appear narrow, small / limited. Another apparent stereotype.

Mika got her job because of her dad..an e-e-e-e-e-e-e-v-i-l rich powerful white man..
