And now, here are some things we wish we could buy but can’t afford (now or ever, really), courtesy of CNBC.
They’re among the most expensive items auctioned in 2011, and entries on this list include the first-ever Apple contract (sold for $1.59 million), unpublished Charlotte Bronte manuscript (sold for $1.1 million) and Elizabeth Taylor’s 33-carat diamond ring (sold for $8.8 million). A gal can dream.
