Sure, we can look at statistics and studies about women and business all day.

But sometimes the reports don’t really hit home until you can see the numbers in visual form — which brings up to this latest data pyramid from Catalyst. It in, we can see the disproportion between the number of female Fortune 500 CEOs and the total female workforce:

How’s that to bum you out on a Monday morning.

    Women make up a minority of the labor force yet they make up a majority of the management, professional and related occupations and I’m supposed to cry for them?

    Actually, they make up a majority of the management, professional & related occupations, because they make up a *representational* amount of these occupations. Women are more than 50% of the population.
