NYPost, NYDN Hit New Sexist Low By Dubbing Kristen Stewart ‘Vamp Tramp,’ ‘Trampire’

“Vamp Tramp”? “Trampire”? How original.

The day following the scandalous news of “Twilight” actress Kristen Stewart’s bout of cheating on longtime boyfriend Rob Pattinson, the New York Daily News and New York Post published incredibly sexist and appalling headlines on the story:

It’s not exactly respectful to fool around with someone other than your significant other when in a relationship, but making out with a married man does not a “tramp” make. Ever thought about laying some blame on the guy who cheated on his wife with an impressionable young 20-something? Come on guys. This is absurd, sexist, and deplorable and you know it.

    Bitchy queens can be bitchy.

Ummmm…..she has been in the business long enough to know better than to cheat on someone when your every move is constantly monitored! You know this shouldnt be surprising to us because she was with Michael Arangano or however you spell it when she starting having a thing with Rob so why did everyone think she was good enough for our Rob? We were caught up in the Twilight romance of it all and were blinded by it all. Now the tramp shows her true colors! I’m surprised she made it 4 years beforeshe got caught! I was one of the ones who was caught up with the whole Robsten thing and I was truly sorry for what this did to Rob. He loved the bitch and she stomped all over him! Don’t think I will be able to think of her the same way again!

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. No one deserves to be labeled a “tramp,” and it’s rather unbecoming of a publication to do that to an impressionable twenty-something who cheated on her boyfriend once (as far as we know). Perhaps she behaved like a bad girlfriend, but she’s not a tramp.

  • EluvsRob

Dude it’s the NY Post it’s not the freaking Wall Street Journal or anything. I’ve seen way worse headlines than them calling her a tramp! And she is soooooooo not impressionable! That girl grew up in the business and knows exactly how shit works! Why do you think she’s never gotten caught before now? Because she knows what to expect! So either she was looking to completely humiliate herself and this dude or she just doesn’t give a flying fuck! She’s not some poor little victim who got lured in by an older man. She is an adult and needs to take all the grief and criticisms that are comig her way because she brought it on herself. And this dude is just as much to blame though he’s not getting half the public grief she is. But you can bet his wife is sure enough making his life hell for what he’s done to them. And if you check the definition of the word “tramp” it means a woman with loose morals…..ummmm that sounds about right in this case

  • http://twitter.com/LauraDonovanUA Laura Donovan

“loose morals”? I just can’t even….Done with this conversation. What you’re saying is extremely sexist.

  • EluvsRob

Right…it would be sexist if I wasn’t a female. But even I know a woman with loose morals when I see one. If you dont want people voicing their opinion why put this up? You should be bitching to the people who wrote the article not the people who are commenting on it.

So the 22 yrs old girl gets a front page “tramp”,but the 40 something director, married guy with 2 kids,he gets a pass huh…he’s a victim or somethin?

Fukers are pissing me off.If she was my daughter,I’d make a little visit to the NY Post and I’d have a nice little conversation with the editor,I swear.

It would go: “whap!”…and then “whap! whap!” and then…well, you see my point.

I know the NY Post is trash, but still.Assholes.

  • Adam R. Charpentier

I agree with what some have said, not so much others…but I can’t think of anything to add specifically about the use of the word “tramp” except that I think that the habit of the news media of Frankenstein-ing words together can be amusing sometimes (although usually it’s just eye-rolling and obnoxious) so “Trampire” made me chuckle.

It’s really none of our business what Kristen Stewart does or does not do. This is between Sanders and his wife, Stewart and Pattinson.

And for all you Twilight fans (Guilty pleasure nonsense aside, seriously, really? There are Twilight fans? I’m still in shock. Reading Twilight is the literary equivalent of smoking crack.), shame on you for acting like she’s spoiling your image of the vapid character she plays in that terrible series. Bella carries Jacob’s heart on a chain around her neck for three movies, occasionally making googly eyes, before casually tossing him aside to let a ghoul impregnate and murder her. So far, the real Kristen Stewart seems to have at least more sense than that.

…yes, I watched the movies. With Rifftrax activated, they are hilarious. New Moon, specifically, was one of the funniest movies I saw all last year.

If she’s a tramp, then what is Eliot Spitzer, the governor who was using our tax money for high end prostitution. Yet Spitzer never gotten a discourteous name and hard working citizen like you still look up to him. Shame on you and the writer!!!

both her and the director are at fault. they both hurt 4 innocent people for no reason. rob pattinson, liberty ross, and her 2 kids. the daily post always jabs the knife at people. i would have actually been shocked if they didn’t. nice? no, but they always do it. kristen isn’t the only one to blame. equal blame goes to the director, but she is most famous one out of the two.

  • hmb1581

i think the problem became worse when kristen put out a public apology to rob. who does that? that kinda brought in the public on a private matter.

  • Adam R. Charpentier

Agreed. Something similar happened when Kevin Smith referred to himself as fat after being tossed off the Southwest flight; news outlets all started referring to him as “fat” in quotation marks, which was a quote and therefore they couldn’t be sued…Kristen Stewart kind of invited people to judge her.

She is a tramp, Sounds like Laura knows her or something…or sadly wants to know her. She is a home wrecker and deserves everything she gets…i.e. dead career.

  • http://twitter.com/LauraDonovanUA Laura Donovan

I see and so the married man isn’t at all responsible for this? And anyone who cheats deserves to have his/her life destroyed?

When Tiger Woods’ lust was discovered, we gave him hell. But because Kristen Stewart is “20-something” she’s just a confused angel?

  • http://twitter.com/pagemat00 The Voice of Reason

Actually yes they both deserve it, sounds like you have experience in this? Maybe a guilty conscience?
