One Way To End An Engagement: Try To Force Fiance To Swallow Ring

Here’s one way to ensure you’ll never marry the woman who accepted your proposal: try to shove an engagement ring down her throat after she says she’s not interested in living with you anymore.

But that’s what 29-year-old Faron Thompson allegedly did to his betrothed, resulting in his arrest and surely the end of his relationship. ClickOrlando reports that Thompson’s girlfriend of four years reached out to authorities after leaving their shared home and retreating to Walmart.

She’d been arguing with her man about moving out and left the ring on the kitchen counter. When she came back for the piece of jewelry, Thompson reportedly held her down and attempted to force it down her throat. Needless to say, if their romance wasn’t over before the bizarre encounter, it certainly ended afterward.

Thompson reportedly went on to threaten to burn the woman’s house down, leading her to declare him a “psycho.” He allegedly continued to attack her and pushed her into a wall while she was holding an infant. WHO DOES THAT?! Oh yeah, a guy who also tries to get his fiance to swallow engagement rings. Luckily (?), the man shoved the woman out the door while she was clutching the baby, who only had on shoes and a diaper, so the two of them got to escape the crazed dude and hide out in Walmart. Because nothing says “safe haven” quite like the greedy department store, but whatever.
