Oprah: “Never, Ever, Ever, Never” Would I Run For President [VIDEO]

For those disillusioned with the current crop of political candidates and hoping someone like Oprah Winfrey might make a surprise run, looks like you’re out of luck.

During Winfrey’s trip to India this week, she sat down for a lengthy interview with a local CNN-IBN anchor, addressing everything from Salman Rushdie, to business and politics. When the issue of U.S. politics came up towards the end of the interview, Winfrey squashed any ideas that she might run for a spot in the Oval Office.

“With many things in your life, they say never say never…but never, ever, ever, never, ever would that happen to me,” she said.

Winfrey also talked about starting her business years ago. “I started my business not knowing anything about business,” she said. That lack of business acumen, she said, allowed people to walk all over her.

“I had the disease to please for many years, as many women do. Uou’re living your life for other people and you just want people to think you’re nice…When you do that, you have a tendency to let people get away with things that they shouldn’t and you end up creating a life where you’re the doormat.”

Let’s just say Winfrey’s not a doormat anymore.

That’s a good thing. Given how she is running OWN, let’s be honest: Running the country isn’t exactly the next logical step. Maybe Management 101 is.
