Paul Ryan Really Doesn’t Want You To See His “Hey Girl” Tumblr Page

Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, also known as Ryan Gosling in-training, was taken aback by the new Tumblr page that likens him to the heavily fawned over star of “The Notebook.” Last week, we reported on the “Hey Girl, It’s Paul Ryan” meme before it had made the rounds on the blogosphere, and Ryan has since heard of the site but doesn’t exactly want it to go viral.

“I never expected that,” the politician said on the “Don Wade & Roma“ radio program on Thursday, adding that the experience was “surreal.” It’s a once in a lifetime one at that, but maybe not something Ryan would have wanted for himself.

When the show host said he’d try to drive tons of traffic to the site, Ryan laughed and said, “No, no. We’re good. Please don’t do that.”

What can I say? Not everyone desires to follow in the footsteps of Ryan Gosling. Being considered a universally adored svelte superhero is so overrated.
