Is Heiress Petra Ecclestone’s $85M House Full Of Mold?

Before you buy a new house, you usually get some kind of inspection to make sure there aren’t dead bodies in the basement or asbestos in the ceiling. If you buy an $85 million house, you get a professor with an advanced degree to do the inspection. It’s not entirely unreasonable.
Especially if you’re a 23-year-old Paris Hilton wannabe who bought Candy Spelling’s Los Angeles mansion. We’d almost forgotten about our dear Petra Ecclestone, she of the three-day wedding in Rome, and she of the $85 million mansion. But she’s back in the news today!
The real estate broker who sold Ecclestone the house tells Business Insider that “Ecclestone hired a professor with an advanced degree to test for mold in the house. He used a team of forensic inspectors and set up a lab in the middle of the now-former Spelling mansion. They collected 95 samples and were able to get results immediately.”
From the looks of it, the house is a-okay.
Because how awful would it be if you bought an $85 million house only to find out it was a mold-infested mess? So awful.
