And This Little Piggy Ruined A Senate Candidate’s Press Conference
1:00 pm, March 20th | by Laura Donovan
Don’t let their mud-swimming tendencies fool you: Pigs are actually quite intelligent creatures (think childhood favorite “Babe”). Another wise swine is the pig former Rep. Mark Neumann, who is running for Wisconsin Senate, brought to a news conference to make a statement about how he’d cut the “pork” from the federal budget.
I love bacon, but this is just cruel. The pig in the video clip knows exactly what’s up and starts screaming like a banshee when Neumann tries to explain his political mission to potential voters. As the animal begins to squirm and make noise, Neumann says, “If you think he’s squealing out here, wait until you hear him in Washington D.C. when they start…” We’re thankful the rest of that line is cut off by the cries of our poor little farm friend, who would have given anything to be elsewhere at that moment, probably even beside two poached eggs and a half-eaten slice of sourdough toast at iHop.
The moral of the story is that pigs are not as ignorant as we think, and they totally know when skeevy aspiring politicians are trying to use them for political gain.
Take a look at the horrific footage below, but be sure to watch the heart-warming, unforgettable final scene of “Babe” afterward to restore your faith in humanity.
