Yep, sometimes women are still forced to choose between work and family– and many employers still find it easy to push pregnant women out of their careers. In a very worthy op-ed in the New York Times, we see that “thanks to a gap between discrimination laws and disability laws,” employers can fire pregnant women with legal impunity. Silver lining? New York State Senator Liz Krueger is currently pitching legislation to protect working moms-to-be. [NYT]
