Lame: Prince Harry Deployed To Afghanistan In Post-Vegas Pictures Aftermath

Whether or not you’ve been to Sin City, you know that what happens in Vegas does not stay in Vegas because of our social media-obsessed world, and this is certainly true for Prince Harry, who has been deployed to Afghanistan in wake of naked pictures of him surfacing on the Internet.

The 27-year-old, who partied in his birthday suit in the desert a few weeks ago, arrived in the country Friday for a four-month deployment. He will be an Apache helicopter pilot, said Britain’s Ministry of Defense. This isn’t his first time over there, as he served in the British army a couple of years ago, but the timing of his departure is too suspicious to overlook.

But don’t think Harry is trembling in his uniform or devastated to do this. Sources say he has been itching to serve again for a while and believes this will improve his image.

The royal’s fun-loving Nevada trip recently made international news…as did the snapshots of him posing nude with a young lady. The photos were unbecoming of someone in his position of power, but I think it’s safe to say he is definitely going to learn his lesson sooner rather than later. It ain’t glam in the military.

I don’t understand your title. Why is it lame? He’s serving his country and lived it up before going off to war. He’s not the only soldier to do this. He puts his life on the line everyday he’s fighting. People who do this tend to live life dangerously because they don’t know if they’re going to live to see another day. What he did was stupid, I’m not disputing that, but I find your article very disrespectful.

I agree with you, Laura makes it sound like he was shipped off as punishment, HE WAS DEPLOYED. As for 2007 when he cae home it was because he was “outed” so to speak as being over there and could have possibly putting people in danger so he came home.

Laura why not quit reading into things and do a little research before you write.

I know he wanted to go but that doesn’t mean it was the best decision/rebound from a few harmless photos.

It is honorable but the timing of it is odd. They said he is trying to clear up his image but he shouldn’t have to answer to us anyway. You can’t deny that the timing of his deployment is unusual.
