The More You Know

Public Transit Saves Us More Than $1 Billion On Gas Every Year [INFOGRAPHIC]

The journey to work is usually tough. Whether you’re moaning in gridlock traffic, averting your eyes from the subway passengers surrounding you, or trying to maneuver around slowpokes clogging the sidewalk on what should be a nice morning stroll to the office, you’re probably at least somewhat irritated. But given all the chaos involved with getting to work, you may as well eliminate financial woes. Start by using public transit, as a new infographic reveals that rail users, carpoolers, and bus riders save a lot on fuel costs each year.

The CreditDonkey graphic says U.S. public transit commuters save 340 million gallons of fuel every year by opting for public transportation. Multiply that by the national gas average ($3.397) and we save more than one billion! Okay, sure, that’s just some rough math — but you’ll also be aiding the environment in addition to your wallet, as this kind of conservation would keep 37 million metric tons of CO2 from being released. You’ll also be less likely to experience road rage, which you most certainly don’t need on top of everything else.

Keep the lowlifes off public transportation and I would LOVE to use it.  But since the “Civil Rights” era they are too scared to do anything so things like THIS happen:

    And the media says nothing.

It is clear who is to blame for this reluctance to us public transportation.  I would sooner die.
