“Pussy” Energy Drink Advertisers Want You To Think You’re The One With The Dirty Mind

Right…
The tagline for British energy drink Pussy, which is marketed as “cunningly delicious,” lacks any semblance of self-awareness, but who really cares when you’re just looking for an afternoon/evening boost? Like many successful products, Pussy (sorry, I’d rather not actually type of the word but I’ve been given no choice) has a fairly entertaining founding story. Creator Jonnie Shearer was living at home with his parents after finishing college a decade ago:
“All my friends were working in the City, and I was in my old bedroom, launching a drink called Pussy. They thought I was an idiot.”
Who’s the idiot now? Apparently everyone besides Shearer, for thinking “pussy” isn’t a suggestive name at all…
