Rachel Zoe Doesn’t Like Attention, So It’s Cool If She Gets Canceled I Guess

Last night’s Rachel Zoe Project episode was all about how she hated being at the center of attention. Apparently Rachel Zoe has the same school of thought as Jodie Foster which is if you say you don’t like attention from people while millions of people are watching you talk about yourself, then it has to be true.
First she got a letter from President Obama which was just marginally cooler than her letter from Karl Lagerfeld. Then she was forced to participate in a shoot she styled for Elle Magazine. Poor girl had to wear expensive clothing in an awesome magazine while the world’s most delightful magazine editor, Joe Zee, looked on. Then Rachel had to be in her new commercial for her Jockey line. Again torture. Like right up there with the opening half hour of Zero Dark Thirty.
For a minute we got to see her staff contemplating what Marisa should wear
for her first time out of the office in five years for her birthday. Chunky sweater or slutty top? Both can be equally wonderfully. Did the chicken come before the egg or vice versa? Please Rachel Zoe staff. Answer these for us.
But I think we should really focus on the important news which is that Radar Online reports that an insider says, “The decision has been made to cancel Rachel’s show… all we are waiting for is the announcement.” From Hollywood Life:
“The show, which is in the fourth season, is reportedly not pulling in the ratings it used to. In fact, last season’s April 3rd episode only brought in 518,000 viewers, which is the lowest number since season one — yikes! ‘The ratings are lackluster and Bravo has decided that Rachel’s show has run it’s course. Viewers just aren’t tuning in to the show anymore. The audience has also complained that Rachel has surrounded herself with ‘yes’ people, unlike her previous employees, like Brad Goreski and Taylor Jacobson,’ the source says.”
But a rep from Bravo told HollywoodLife that there isn’t any truth to the latest report. “Not true. All of the Fashion Night by Bravo shows are currently airing and no decision has been made on any show for next season.” So you may get to watch buy more shoes and then more houses to put them in for a whole other season.
The question is, could Rachel survive without the show? She is the top stylist in the industry and a great designer but that show made her a pop culture icon. Who else will we watch wear a turban to the grocery store? Well probably Mary-Kate Olsen but you get what I’m saying.
