Read of the Day: “Wealth Inequality in America”

Okay, yes: for the second time this month, the “Read of the Day” is a “Watch of the Day”; but it’s Monday and my eyes feel like they are about to fall out of my skull and the only thing I want to be reading right now is a menu’s margarita options. I’m sure you can relate. Also like last time, this video is going to make you feel pretty angry, but for a whole different slew of reasons.
Posted on Upworthy, this video on the distribution of wealth in America blew my mind. As it turns out, most Americans (me included) have incredibly inaccurate perceptions of wealth inequality; the reality is far more depressing than you can imagine. This video can be summed up as such: the top one percent of the United States has a lot of money. Like, a lot. I’m talking Blank Check kind of money.
