Urinals That Look Like Women’s Open Mouths Not A Huge Hit, Shockingly

A Rolling Stones museum in northern Germany had the totally and completely hilarious idea to install a set of urinals in its men’s room shaped like the band’s iconic “lips” logo. Unfortunately, the urinals ended up looking more like women’s mouths than anything else. Oh dear.
Because the idea of peeing into an open, androgynous mouth wasn’t awkward and gross enough, the urinals attracted a whole heap of gender tension after the designer decided to eschew the traditional wagging tongue often found in the Stones’ original logo. The result? Urinals that look like you’re peeing into a red lipsticked woman’s gaping maw.
Now female activists are protesting the pee receptacles, denouncing them as misogynistic, according to Spiegel. The museum’s benefactor, Ulli Schröder, who has clearly woken up on the wrong side of the bed for the last decade, had this to say in response:
“They were damned expensive and they’re staying where they are and that’s final.”
Sounds like someone needs a hug. And a pair of glasses.
