Romney Boys’ Mother’s Day Video For Ann Is Actually Kind Of Cute
4:15 pm, May 13th | by Laura Donovan
Just a month and two days after political pundit Hilary Rosen said Ann Romney has “actually never worked a day in her life,” the prospective first lady was showered with praise in a special Mother’s Day video tribute from her five sons — and though the Romney family story telling campaign strategy sometimes comes across as exploitative, the clip is rather sweet.
“I knew I was just one of five boys in a house, but I felt like when I was with her that I was the most important thing in the world to her,” said Ben, whom the others claimed Ann tried to fatten up with pancakes when he was too thin.
But she didn’t always feel so calm and cheerful around the kids. Tagg said Ann was constantly “begging for [them] to be quiet,” and that’s not surprising for a mother of five rambunctious boys. Rather than have a continuous battle against her crazy children, though, she joined in on the fun:
“She would play along in our games, help us make forts, get down and wrestle with us, play catch with us,” Tagg said.
