Now You Can Be Ron Paul And Destroy The Federal Reserve

Looks like your prayers have been answered: Ron Paul is going to star in a video game.
Daniel Williams, a professional programmer, has used his love of the libertarian candidate as inspiration to create the game, ”Ron Paul: Road to REVOLution.”
As he explains in his Kickstarter video detailing the project, “If there’s a game about Ron, it’s got to be awesome.”
And awesome it looks. At least so far. The game isn’t set to be released till July, but it already feels like a mirror into Super Mario Brothers and Sonic the Hedgehog from days of yore.
The point of the game is, as Ron Paul, “to make your way across all 50 states collecting Gold (sound money) and Delegates,” and to become the president in order to succeed in your quest to end the Federal Reserve. Not that the president has the power to do that, but I guess that’s just extraneous detail.
In addition to all that, according to Williams, there are plenty of “other treats and easter eggs.”
So far, the project has 118 backers who’ve collectively pledged over $7,000, surpassing the original goal of $5,000 in a mere three days. And with 11 days still left, who knows how much money Williams will ultimately collect to finish building the product.
As Williams’ said, he is dedicated to “making liberty sexy.” I’m not entirely convinced the game will succeed in doing that (the thought of “Ron Paul” and “sexy” just doesn’t…make sense), but the game is hilarious and creative. So we’ll give it that.
