Santorum Campaign: We’ve Sold 3,000 Trademark Sweater Vests

Did you know presidential candidate Rick Santorum’s signature sweater vests are now a thing?

Or so the campaign says. Communications director Hogan Gidley tweeted Tuesday that customers have purchased thousands of cozy sweater vests, even during what has been a non-winter:

The warmer temps make this difficult to believe, but the @RickSantorum campaign has sold more than 3,000 sweater vests. @FearRicksVest

As noted by BuzzFeed, the campaign has earned $300,000 from the products at the listed price of $100 per sweater vest. So, if you haven’t bought one yet, you better get on it, unless of course you don’t want to be cool.

    People bought them just to say they have one, like with any “celebrity” memorabilia, then 10 years later it goes to Goodwill or the Salvation Army OR they sell  it on Ebay.
