Scott Brown Ahead Of Elizabeth Warren In Poll
12:15 pm, March 5th | by Laura Donovan
Massachusetts Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren may be a Hollywood favorite, but a new poll finds that her GOP competitor Scott Brown is ahead of her in the state by 8 percentage points.
A Western New England University Polling Institute survey conducted February 23- March 1 finds that 47 percent of registered voters have a favorable opinion of Brown’s performance as Senator whereas only 37 percent of registered voters have favorable views of Warren. Brown also has a 54 percent approval rating among poll participants. When asked whether they leaned more towards Brown or Warren for Senate, 41 percent of participants listed Warren and 49 percent listed Brown. The poll, which was completed by 527 Massachusetts registered voters, reveals 69 percent of register voters “very sure” about their Senate choice.
Warren isn’t behind by much, and if Brown continues disparaging her support from entertainment industry workers, he could decrease in popularity before election day.
