Sean Hannity Thinks Sexual Harassment is Hilarious! [VIDEO]
10:58 am, November 16th | by Amy Tennery
When there’s a republican presidential candidate who stands accused of sexually harassing some of his past female subordinates, it’s only natural that the term “sexual harassment” is on a lot of people’s brains.
We just wish it weren’t on Sean Hannity’s.
The Fox News host had conservative pundit Ann Coulter on his show yesterday and, at the end of the segment, decided to pat himself on the back for being moderately less offensive to women. Of course, in the process, he said something really offensive:
Hannity: Ann Coulter it’s always good to see you. And I didn’t ask you once — uhhh — you did not get to call me names like last time like ‘gossipy old woman’ and ‘a brat’ because I didn’t ask you about your dating life.
Coulter: And I miss doing that.
Hannity: Listen you might sue me for harassment by the time this is over.
Coulter: Ha ha! That’s right! Aha ahahahaha.
SO FUNNY.
I recognize that Coulter shoulders some of the blame here for saying that she “miss[es]” calling Hannity a “gossipy old woman,” a term so flagrantly offensive that I can’t believe it’s not the most objectionable thing in this segment. And, to be clear, joking about harassment is generally, you know, a “bad idea.” But joking about it live on national television, while a presidential candidate faces horrendous sexual harassment accusations — claims that have brought the issue of workplace harassment to the forefront — is an awful, bad, terrible, not funny idea.
