I’m in a ridiculously good mood today. No, not because it’s Friday, but because I slept nine hours last night, a stark contrast to the five to six I usually get each day. You don’t need me to tell you that sleep deprivation is incredibly unhealthy and quite possibly the worst mood killer out there, but the infographic below illustrates why getting enough rest is crucial to quality of life and makes such a difference in work performance. Arianna Huffington knows this all too well, and look at all she has accomplished with her site!
You’ve probably woken up tired before. According to the infographic, it could be the result of arising at the wrong phase of sleep. That could lead to a sour mood and lack of productivity at work, and we all know that doesn’t do wonders for a person’s office reputation. It’s detrimental outside of work as well, as 17 percent of road accidents are due to drowsy driving. Neither of those things are good, but the infographic also explains how to prevent sleep-related accidents and issues.
