Will Tiffany Maher Be The Least Memorable So You Think You Can Dance Winner Of All Time?

Part one of the finale for the ninth season of So You Think You Can Dance aired last night, in which finalists Eliana Girard, Cyrus Spencer, Chehon Wespi-Tschopp and Tiffany Maher each gave five performances that will determine their rankings in part two of the finale, which airs next week. All four dancers are immensely talented and certainly deserve their places in the finale. Soooo…why is one of them so much less memorable than the others?

One winner will be chosen for the boys, and one for the girls, so lucky for Tiffany she doesn’t have to compete with the magnetic Cyrus or the brilliant technician Chehon. And she has done very well throughout the competition, even managing to elevate a disco number beyond the total goofiness inherent in the genre. She’s an impressive dancer.

And yet. I couldn’t remember her name until very recently, and none of her performances, disco aside, have been able to stick in my mind. Her fellow finalist Eliana Girard had the benefit of a very memorable partner in Cyrus, and her ballet training gives her a certain sheen of prestige, but on balance she hasn’t done notably better than Tiffany this season. The show’s schedule has been shuffled around a bit to accommodate the summer Olympics, but if that were the root of the problem the other three finalists would be blank slates as well. But it’s just Tiffany — and nevertheless, she’s never been voted into the bottom. Not once. Through the whole competition.

Clearly, I’m missing something. But what? What makes Tiffany Maher memorable? Surely there is someone who can solve this mystery.

    Ah, poor Tiffany. I
actually didn’t know her name until now, and when I heard her name spoken or
written about in blogs, I couldn’t remember what she looked like. She is so quiet and honestly doesn’t stand
out enough. I think you are hinting that
it is not likely she will win, which I think so as well. One of my Dish coworkers is a big fan and she’s
going to come over and watch the results with me and my wife. We’re ALL hoping Chehon and Eliana win, but
it could be Cyrus and either Eliana or Tiffany.
We always watch commercial free with Auto Hop on my PrimeTime Anytime
recordings because it saves us enough time to watch another show too. I like that I enjoy more TV now and get more
    for my money.

Cleary, you are missing something. I am here to solve your mystery! Yes in the beginning of the show Tiffany was not as noticed as others were. Once she made the top 20, she displayed her talent performance after performace. Surley she must be somewhat memorable seeing as she is in the top 4. You ask what makes Tiffany memorable? If you have watched every episode and watched her as she stands during the judges comentary or the interviews then you would have noticed what I and so many others have noticed. Her humbleness would be one thing to start with. Tiffany never tries to make people like her or beg for spotlight. Obviously America has fallen in love with Tiffany for who she is and what they have seen. To them she has made an impact and has been memorable to them in some way. All of the other dancers on the show are amazing and deserve to win as well, but you asked what makes TIFFANY memorable. Her passion for dance, her humblness, her strive, her willingness to take on new challenges and execute them flawlessley. That is what makes Tiffany Maher memorable.
