Policeman Was Allegedly DSK’s Pimp, Now Facing Underage Prostitution Investigation

If there’s one good thing we can say about Dominique Strauss-Kahn, it’s that he does manage to keep us endlessly entertained. Today: police pimps and prostitution rings.

The New York Post reports that Strauss-Kahn was allegedly part of a prostitution ring, organized by a policeman who, get this — was poised to become Strauss-Kahn’s personal bodyguard had he won the French election. Prostitution is legal in France as long as both parties are not minors, but police were investigating because they believed some of the prostitutes were under 18.

The former IMF head is of course denying he engaged in sexual acts with minors, but he could still be questioned, and his night time trysts brought to light. There’s also the alleged pimp-cop friend, Jean-Christophe Lagarde, who could be in real trouble if underage prostitutes are discovered. Let’s just say, none of this looks good.

Throughout the past few weeks, it’s felt like Strauss-Kahn has been able to unbelievably escape drama after drama. Just last week, he admitted to sexually assaulting a woman in 2003, but he wasn’t convicted because the statute of limitations had run out. From the looks of it, he won’t face charges for the prostitution ring either — but his friends could. And his reputation is pretty much done for.

In other news, he appears to be sporting a scruffy, unshaven look these days.

Ultimately one has to wonder if this is an expertly played ploy by Nicolas Sarkozy, France’s current president and Mr Strauss-Khan’s political opponent in the run off to French national elections, who must be one on hand piqued by the absurdity of his opponent’s situation but at the same time deeply mortified that the state of political life and corruption has once again regressed to a new low. At this rate it wont be too long before Italy’s premier, Silvio Berlusconi will be invited for tea and crumpets and what may ultimately happen after that at a nearby non descript French hotel….

Doubt it. Strauss-Kahn is finished politically in France, Sarkozy will be searching feverishly for any photos of Hollande, his new rival, in a compromising position with a hooker in the back of a car in the Bois de Boulogne.

Sarkozy is up to his neck in his own scandals ( money no sex, no interest to American press), the money scandals wont hurt Sarko that much as, in France, every one, left right or center, that has ever managed to get into any political position where money was accessible has filled his pockets.
