Suze Orman Defends Her Universally Detested Debit Card By Saying “Just Trust Me”
10:30 am, February 2nd | by Hillary Reinsberg
Last week, we explored the Suze Orman-sponsored prepaid credit card, a purple piece of plastic for which the financial guru has taken a lot of heat. She appeared on Piers Morgan Tonight yesterday evening, where, naturally, she defended the card. We’re not entirely sure we buy the defense though.
When Morgan brought up some of the criticism that’s been geared at the card, Orman’s method of fighting back was to invoke an “after this many years in the business do you really think I’d do that” defense. It’s true that it wouldn’t make sense for Orman to create a financially irresponsible product, but at the same time, the kind of blind faith she’s asking people to have is just the kind of thing she’d normally rally against.
