Blackjack is tired and craps is played out — real moguls bet their spare Gs on network T.V… Or so it would seem, according to Ireland’s largest bookmaker, Paddy Power, which has just placed odds on CBS honcho Les Moonves’ “Two and a Half Men” casting choice.
In a press release sent today, Paddy Power notes that tapping Ashton Kutcher to take over Charlie Sheen’s space on the show is “a risk.” Of course this can’t be lost on Moonves, who reportedly tried to get Sheen back on the show this past spring, before the actor went full-scale bananas.
“Not only is [Kutcher] a hell of a lot younger than Sheen but he’s also the complete opposite personality wise,” a Paddy Power spokesperson said. “However, punters seem confident that Kutcher will bring his own fresh new style to the show.”
Could it be that Moonves’ winning streak is going to continue? These odds seem to indicate as much.
