‘Bout Time: Masters Host Augusta National To Allow Women Members

Augusta National Golf Club, the annual host of the Masters golf tournament, announced this morning that it would add two women to its membership roster, 79 years after the club was founded.
Miraculously, the earth did not break open and no fire or brimstone were reported on the scene.

Given all the recent controversy surrounding its gender-restrictions, Augusta National Golf Club has been fielding one or two questions about when it might allow women to become members. Its antiquated rules, presumably written on cardboard with crayon, have mandated there’s ‘no girls allowed’ (to be members) at its clubhouse.
And now, its chairman is finally speaking out.
