Barbara Bush Robocalls For Romney, Manages Not To Make A Joke About Him
2:45 pm, March 4th | by Laura Donovan
Former first lady Barbara Bush, who has been at the center of media discussion in recent years for her sarcastic remarks and poking fun at people, managed not to dig at GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney in her robocall for him.
Bush’s robocalls will go out in Vermont and Ohio to remind potential voters that the primary is Tuesday and that “Mitt is the best man to lead the country for the next four years, and Ann will make a great first lady.”
As pointed out by BuzzFeed, the audio for the robocall does not include a line from the script reported by ABC News’ Michael Falcone reported this script this morning, which includes Bush saying, “I’m supporting Mitt for one simple reason: America cannot survive four more years of Barack Obama, and Mitt is the man to lead America, and we need him now.”
