Sometimes I have to stop myself from thinking “stay out of our world” when celebrities invade normal people life on a whim, so I wasn’t exactly cheering singer Beyonce on when I learned that she landed an award from the New York Association of Black Journalists for her summer 2011 Essence article “Eat, Play, Love.”

Beyoncé Knowles: Proof That Even Moguls Get Booed

Although we named her one of Mogulite’s most influential moguls under 35, Beyoncé Knowles was less of a hit at last night’s Met Gala, when photographers began booing her for not staying on the red carpet long enough. We didn’t realize people actually booed celebrities at black tie events — seems a bit harsh. In this USA Today video (which we found found on Racked) the first lady of music moguls takes some hits from the press pool and then has to hobble up the stairs. Okay, we officially feel bad for her. (Ed. note: Our friends over at Styleite just informed us that Donald Trump also got booed last night. People were feeling feisty!)
