The image of a woman working to build an airplane in a World War II era factory is one burned quite well into the American psyche at this point. When we think of “working women,” many of our minds turn immediately to Rosie The Riveter, a visual icon of the time that amazingly prevails almost 70 years later. But Rosie is an illustration, not a photograph. To remedy that, we have some photos.
