Four years have passed since John McCain stunned the world with his VP pick, and while we’d like to see current GOP candidate Mitt Romney run alongside a woman this election season, we have some basic standards for the selection process. For starters, we’d prefer a lady who hasn’t had a reality show, because let’s be honest, there are enough of those on TV already. Star quality shouldn’t be a factor this time. And since we heard Senator Kelly Ayotte will be getting chummy with Romney over the holiday, we wondered what other women he should have on his short list. Here are a few competent conservative females who would do an excellent job as Romney’s veep.
