Girls Recap: Shosh + Ray 4 Ever
11:30 am, February 4th | by Sarah Devlin
Honestly, this was not my favorite episode of Girls, especially on the heels of last week’s coke-fueled fever dream, which I thought was the strongest episode to date since “Welcome To Bushwick, AKA The Crackcident.” It’s no accident that this week’s half hour devoted a hefty percentage of time to the unraveling of Jessa’s marriage, which was obviously never going to last and worked better played for laughs than mined for drama.

Forget iPhones, Instagram, Facebook, and all the other things Millenials obsess over now — “Girls,” which is barely in its second season, is going to define our generation more than anything else.

5 Upcoming Guest Stars On ‘The Mindy Project’ We’re Stoked About
3:30 pm, January 9th | by Laura Donovan
It looks like Mindy Kaling’s smart sitcom is only going to get better. The program has at least five promising guest stars for the second half of the season, so even though ratings haven’t been awesome, at least we’re getting a solid batch of newbies toward the end of season one. Here are the five we’re most excited about.
Uh…New York Post Column Dubs ‘Girls’ An ‘Economic Loss For High-End Gyms’
3:30 pm, January 4th | by Laura Donovan
We all know Lena Dunham is destroying America, so it makes sense that her highly-lauded HBO series, “Girls” is going to make viewers gain weight, quit the gym, and get fat…right?
How Lena Dunham Stunned Chris O’Dowd With Direction Of ‘Girls’
9:30 am, December 31st | by Laura Donovan
If we’ve learned anything from Lena Dunham’s wildly popular new HBO program “Girls,” it’s that the 26-year-old TV show creator is good at surprising people. She surely exceeded the expectations of many when she landed a $3.5 million book deal and dominated 2012, and the New York native also stunned actor Chris O’Dowd when she had his “Girls” character make a major life decision after a single episode.
Harassing Lena Dunham Is Not Okay
1:30 pm, December 12th | by Laura Donovan
“Girls” creator Lena Dunham isn’t new to media criticism or treatment, and more often than not, she’s able to tune out the noise, but the 26-year-old New Yorker appears to be at her wits end with Gawker for publishing her $3.7 million book proposal, and understandably so. Though the publication took down the actress’s proposal at the request of her lawyer, Gawker writer John Cook left a dozen lines from the document in the story and mocked each one.
This Deleted Scene From ‘Girls’ Should Have Made The Final Cut

The scene opens where many awesome things take place: in a cupcake shop. But in the world of Dunham’s “Girls,” it’s not a happy place.

How HBO’s ‘Girls’ Can Be Just As Soft And Fuzzy As ‘Gilmore Girls’
3:30 pm, December 3rd | by Laura Donovan
Remember wholesome, well-adjusted, ambitious, fast-talking Rory Gilmore? She and mother Lorelai made life look easy and positively blissful in 2000 hit show, “Gilmore Girls.” Then 9/11, a series of natural disasters, a recession, and a pervasive problem of twenty-somethings with attitudes happened and made us all cynical and frowny. Enter HBO’s “Girls,” a program about the travails of dating, loving, and working as a Millenial. These shows paint quite different portraits of what it’s like to be a young aspiring writer and lady, but video editor Marc Butcavage has re-imagined “Girls” through the warm-colored opening credits of “Gilmore Girls,” giving the contemporary show a completely different vibe than the one we know.

Lena Dunham Finds That Whole Nepotism Thing “Upsetting”
10:30 am, October 8th | by Laura Donovan
Season two of HBO’s “Girls” hasn’t even aired yet and the “nepotism” argument is still pervading our national discussion on the series. It’s not new criticism either, as show creator Lena Dunham has been hearing it all year, but she appears to be really sick of it now — and so is her mom, who has subscribed to a “Lena Dunham” Google Alert to keep an eye on the things people are saying about her daughter (in that case, hi Laurie!!!).
Lena Dunham Needs To Go Pants-less More Often
10:30 am, October 2nd | by Laura Donovan
You’ve surely heard of HBO’s “Girls,” which was created by savant Lena Dunham, but chances are you haven’t seen her film, “Tiny Furniture,” a movie loosely based on her bleak post-grad life. One of my favorite scenes is one in which her character lacks the wherewithal to put on a pair of pants. If you’ve ever felt lazy or totally zombie-like, you’ve been there. If not, we can never be friends. Anyway, Dunham has come a long way since her pants-free “Tiny Furniture” days, but everything came full circle at a recent charity event, to which she showed up sans legwear. And you know what? She looked like a svelte babe.
